About the Car

The Toyota Corolla Levin AE92 participated the touring car racing, 24 hours of Spa in 1989. The Toyota Group A spec model was developed based on the AE92 type of Corolla Levin, and powered by the inline 4-cylinder 1587cc engine equipped on the front. It was front-wheel-drive FF machine. The race was held on July 23, 1989, and the Toyota Corolla Levin AE92 was successfully finished in 3rd in class with 3 drivers, Hideshi Matsuda, Morio Nitta, and Kaori Okamoto. Kaori Okamoto was also known as an actress and attracted a lot of attention.
